Moore Creek Park Workday #5 EARLY START TIME! (August 29, 2026)

Join us for an exciting volunteer workday at Moore Creek Park as we expand the trail network and create an awesome new riding and hiking experience!

We are building two brand-new trails—a traverse trail and a connector trail—that will finally create a complete loop right off Dan’s Wild Ride!

Whether you’re a seasoned trail builder or a first-timer looking to give back, we need your hands to make this loop a reality.

The Details

When: Saturday, August 29th | 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Where to Meet: Moore Creek Park Parking Lot (8:00 AM sharp for the shuttle to the work site).
The Schedule:
- 8:00 AM: Meet & Shuttle to site
- 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Trail building!
- 12:30 PM: Back at parking lot for a well-deserved lunch.

️ What We’ll Be Doing

We’ll be putting the finishing touches on the new trails. Duties include:

Clearing and cleaning up the new trail alignment.
Compacting the dirt tread for a smooth, sustainable surface.
Fun and rewarding rock work to reinforce the trail.

What’s Provided

We’ve got you covered! We will provide all the tools, safety gear, snacks, and a full lunch after we wrap up.

What to Bring & Wear

For your safety, please come prepared with:

Clothing: Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt (required for trail work).
Footwear: Sturdy closed-toe shoes or work boots.
Hydration: A water bottle or hydration pack that you can easily carry with you.

Jack London State Historic Park-Asbury Creek Trail Workday (September 05, 2026)

Join Redwood Trails Alliance (RTA) on Saturday, September 5th for volunteer workday at Jack London State Historic Park! We’ll be rolling up our sleeves to work on a realignment of a short stretch of the Asbury Creek Trail.

Meeting Location: Park on Harney (across Arnold Drive from the main entrance to the Sonoma Developmental Center). We will consolidate into a few vehicles and caravan into the SDC side of the park.
What to Wear & Bring: Gloves, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a portable water bottle.
Perks: Lunch is provided for all volunteers!

Volunteer at the Moore Creek Grasshopper (September 20, 2026)

Join Redwood Trails Alliance on Sunday, September 20, and help make the Moore Creek Grasshopper an unforgettable day of riding in the Napa Valley!

We’re looking for volunteers to support the event in several roles:

Aid station support at PUC Forest, the top of Dan’s Wild Ride, and the Moore Creek Park parking lot
Course marshals at key intersections—some locations require hiking or biking to reach
Morning setup before riders arrive
Afternoon breakdown and cleanup after the event

Whether you can help for a few hours or spend the day with us, your support will keep riders safe, fueled, and on course while helping raise funds for more trails and better trails at Moore Creek Park.

Come be part of a fun day, support the local trail community, and experience the Moore Creek Grasshopper from behind the scenes!
