Greetings trail work volunteers -

The next RTA volunteer trail work opportunity will be on Saturday, March 12 at Hood Mt. Regional Park from 9am to about 1pm. We will be helping Regional Parks decommission the old Summit Trail and install erosion controls along the trail corridor to restore and protect park habitat. (And volunteers will be able to see the most recent trail work done by the RTA Trail Team for the new Summit Trail alignment.)

Because we will be driving into the interior of the park, volunteers will be limited and 4wd vehicles will be necessary. We will meet and shuttle to the work location from the upper parking lot on Pythian Rd.

We will provide tools and Clif bars with lunch! and Lagunitas and Guayaki beverages afterwards.

Poison oak is present so wear a long sleeve shirt and pants, and bring a hat for the sun, gloves, and sturdy shoes. And water that you can take with you while working.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at ken@trailsalliance.org.
