Greetings trail work volunteers –
The Redwood Trails Alliance is helping Sonoma County Regional Parks prepare the new Monte Rio Redwoods Park and Open Space Preserve for interim public access*.
If the weather doesn't get too wet to drive in, we will need about ten volunteers for a trail work day on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 9am to about 3pm. We will provide tools, lunch and beverages afterwards. If you register, we will contact you directly by Thursday night in case of a weather cancellation.
We will be working with one of our great community partners, Gianni Cycling, on Sonoma County Regional Park's newly acquired park property to finish the Monte Rio Redwoods Trail for interim public access to this extraordinary natural landscape.
Details for the meeting location will be provided with your confirmed registration.
Bring gloves, a hat and water that you can take with you while working, and wear long pants, boots or sturdy shoes and sunscreen. Poison oak is present so long sleeve shirts are recommended.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Ken at ken@trailsalliance.org.
