Greetings Trail Volunteers -
The next RTA trail work opportunity will be on Saturday, September 23rd. We will work from 9am to about 1pm at Hood Mt. Regional Park and Open Space Preserve, 1450 Pythian Road, Santa Rosa.
We will help clean up a new Regional Park acquisition so it can be opened to the public in the future. Work will include collecting and loading old metal fence posts and other metal debris scattered around the site for recycling.
We will meet at the public parking lot at the end of Pythian Rd, and shuttle to the work site in high-clearance vehicles. Let us know if you are willing to be a driver. We have parking passes for those that don't already have a Regional Park pass.
We will have tools and snacks and after trail work, we'll provide lunch and beverages. Wear a long sleeve shirt and pants (poison oak is present), and bring a hat for the sun, gloves, and sturdy shoes or boots - we will be working off trail. And water that you can take with you while working.
RSVP REQUIRED for attendance.
In order to reduce waste and avoid spending limited funds, please let us know if you need to cancel after registering so that we order the correct amount of food.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Ken at ken@trailsalliance.org
Thank you,
