Ribbon Cutting at Moore Creek on Aug 3rd - Celebrate opening of Washing Machine Trail in Napa!

Join us Saturday, August 3rd as RTA and volunteers join partner Napa Open Space District (NOSD) to cut the ribbon on a mile of brand new trail at Moore Creek Park in Napa! Washing Machine Trail starts just above the creek crossing at the end of Dry Foot Trail and is named after the discarded appliance near the upper terminus of the new trail.

We are joined at the festive event by our volunteers, partners and donors, and encourage our members to come out to celebrate!

We will meet at the parking lot at 9:00 am and join a guided ride and hike to the trail head. Following comments from RTA, NOSD and the Napa Trail Fund, we will cut the ribbon and hit the trail! There will be a BBQ at the caretaker house at 12:30 pm, all are welcome to join.

While 1 mile may not sound like a lot, it’s a fun and sinuous alternative to the existing steep and gravely fire road that bridges the two creek crossings at Moore Creek. Learn more about the new trail here.
